This will be changed fairly regularly and shows an item (or rather an article heading) from the Noticeboard web page that the administrators consider of particular interest to members. Clicking on the word Noticeboard will take you to the Noticeboard web page where you can examine the content of the item in addition to the heading.

Noticeboard web page

The web page is designed to be an electronic version of the invaluable club noticeboard. Unfortunately there are only a few inches of space available unlike the many feet that the actual club noticeboard manages! So only the headings are displayed in the list, and then only 10 at a time. At the bottom of the list are a series of numbers that you can click to take you to additional noticeboard items. The idea is that items are displayed in order of the latest and/or most important items.

One advantage of the electronic noticeboard over the actual one in the club is that notices don't have to be taken down, they just sink slowly to the later pages!

There is a text box at the bottom of the page that allows you to enter a word or phrase and the web site will search through all the articles for ones that contain them (not case sensitive but make sure the spelling is correct!!). When the search button is pressed any matches are displayed in the list.
