Bespoke software is used by LIBC to produce the competition
draws:-
This article gives a simple outline of the procedures it uses
with the hope that this will help members understand why and
how competition draws happen!!
KNOCK OUT TEMPLATE
The program has a database of optimised knock out table templates
for 2 to 64 teams, e.g.:-

SETUP
Before the competition allocations can begin, setting up data
is entered, these include "Competitors" and "Round
Headings".
"Competitors" can be entered in any order and the
program can shuffle that order using a random number sequencer
to simulate a "manual random draw".
"Round Headings" are entered according to how many
rounds are required for the quantity of competitiors. The program
will generate the correct quantity of headings if required.
KNOCK OUT MATRIX
The program stores a knock out matrix based on the appropriate
knock out template. The program puts the competitors and the
headings into the appropriate boxes to produce the output:-
