DESIGN A CLUB SHIRT
Members are reminded that the closing date for submitting the new club shirt design is Monday 15th May.
Remember when designing Club Logo, Sponsors Logo and if it’s a colour shirt it will have to be agreed by the National Bowls Body.
The rest is up to you.
SET SINGLES LEAGUE
With entries up to 30 at the minute the winter singles league will go ahead next season.
Danny is putting rinks space into the schedule as I post.
Rules for discussion at the next management meeting are as follows.
Rules
Set singles format 2 sets of 6 ends with a 3 end tie break if required.
Each player to play each member of the same league in each 2 month period:
Period 1 September/October 2017
Period 2 November/December 2017
Period 3 January/February 2018
Period 4 March/April 2018
Top 2 players will move to the next higher league at the start of the next period.
Bottom 2 players will move to the next lower league at the start of the next period.
If no marker is available then winner of the toss sets the first jack and the winner of each end sets the jack. Players not to visit head until 3rd bowl played.
Schedule
Games are to be played at 8.30 pm weekdays or at weekends subject to rink availability.
Exceptional games could be played at other times to ensure all games are played.
It is possible to for 3 players to play 2 matches in one session (with one player ideally acting as the marker). Rink fees will be £2.70 per person per session.
Result Notification
Steve Traynor will administrate the League Ladder and will produce printed league sheets at the start of each period. He will update club website on league situations on a regular basis,
Players are to complete the result sheet at the end of each match which will be located on the Competitions Notice Board. Score cards to be placed in the Competition cards slot next to the League notice board.
Note after first period complete if games take more than the allocated time the ends played rule may be amended.
