12. Ryan draws close then draws closer to leave Billy to consolidate the position. Billy just short but useful blocker. Billy draws to make it 2. Billy's blocker does it's job as it stops the Derbyshire bowl in it's tracks. 11 - 8

13. Billy bowls in to win the end. 12 - 8

14. Ryan draws just past the pot with his first and is shot as he plays his second, just too far for second but handily placed. Billy on the mat with the head in his favour. Billy bowls another in. Two, possibly three as Billy draws the pot 3 inches nearer another of our bowls. Score 14 - 8

15. Derbyshire laid shot on the change over but room for Billy to draw. Derbyshire pair have changed positions to try and stop the Jackson march. Billy nudges Ryan's wood nearer to go one shot. Derbyshire open up the head with a runner for a measure. Score 15 - 8

18. Two down but room to rescue. Derbyshire well short with the third bowl. Billy draws second. Derbyshire short again. Billy comes for a look before bowling his last. If he is brave there is a shot to get three or draw for one. Draws for one. 16 - 10 and only three ends to go. Exciting stuff.

19. A loose end as the skips come the mat, are nerves setting in? Measuring, does not look good. Four shots to Derbyshire. I need the loo. 16 - 14
