What a game with one wood left for each side to play an extra end looked likely.
But unfortunately for the Melton away skip he promoted a Lincoln bowl with his last bowl.
After a 5 minute deliberation weather he had turned it in for shot or not Lincoln decided on going to the measure.
Melton’s number three did the measure and turned the Lincoln bowl away putting Lincoln through to the next round
Hard luck to Melton on a game played in totally the right spirit.
Today Bowls was the winner.
